Paolo and I were seated separately at the wedding we attended yesterday because he was one of the principal sponsors. But while the Pastor was preaching his sermon, I got this text from him. Paolo is the sweetest husband!

DO WE PASS THE TEST?

Yesterday, some of you might have read on my Facebook status that I have written “So many things went wrong today, but still, God is good.” Top of the list was Ryan accidentally spilled water on their laptop. We immediately brought it to a Powermac service center, and found out that to have everything repaired will cost us more than P60,000! How ridiculous is that! But that’s not my point today ;)

Things like these will test our character, our values and our priorities. Here is my husband’s insightful blog about the whole incident.

WHAT A DAD!

Image and video hosting by TinyPicMy husband, Paolo, didn’t grow up with a dad. He met his dad when he was already 16. I had no idea what kind of father he would be to our kids. In fact, I was worried he wouldn’t know how to be a good father. I thank God for bringing men into my husband’s life who showed him how to be a father. And I am proud of how Paolo learned so quickly and was so eager to put everything into practice. Being a father is more than providing. It is being involved in every area of your kids’ lives, training them and discipling them in the ways of God. Paolo has been a father in every sense of the word. And I’m sure he will acknowledge that it is only God who can make a man into a real father, inspite of his past.

He was present in the delivery room for all of my childbirths. He Image and video hosting by TinyPichas breakfast with the kids every morning to read the Bible and pray with them before they go to school. He is always rushing home to be with the kids, excited to go biking with them and eat ice cream with them. He is always present in every special occasion, never missing a game or a recital. Though he is very busy with work, he always finds time to shower in the rain with the kids, wrestle , tickle-fight, dance to MJ songs (I wish I could show you the video :D ), take them out on weekly dates, play Plants vs Zombies, watch Monk, go fishing, gaze at the stars, swim, rock-climb, fly kites, and do every single thing under the sun that would mean spending more time  with them.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY PAOLO!
I knew all along that you would make a great husband
but finding out how wonderful a father you are was a complete surprise!

YOU ARE THE GREATEST DAD TO OUR 4 CHILDREN!
THEY ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE YOU!

5F’s of Marriage

Paolo and I came from the wedding of Gabe Gabriel and Diane Sipin, where we stood as principal sponsors. Yes, we were one of the ninongs and ninongs, and this wasn’t our first. The wedding was very touching and very sincere. Pastor Carlos, the officiating minister, shared to us the 5 F’s of a strong marriage. They were:

FOUNDATIONS
FAITHFULNESS
FORGIVENESS
FRUITFULNESS
FUN

It’s always good to be reminded of these things again and again. A great marriage doesn’t just happen. You make it happen, with God’s help.

Here are some of our “pre-nup” pictures. Feeling newly-weds. Hehe… (thanks to our friend Jaja Suarez)

PAOLO SURPRISES US

We surprised Paolo on his birthday today. Unfortunately, we were the ones who got surprised because he showed up 30 min earlier than expected. Oh well… I thank God for everyone who celebrated this special day with him. Special thanks to Sheryl and Marge who helped me organize it.
